Tillamook Estuaries Partnership’s (TEP) nursery, which provides native plants to the Northwest Oregon Restoration Partnership (NORP), relies on volunteer and NORP member support to operate. When the nursery closed to the public due to COVID restrictions, we were in need of helping hands to care for the approximately 100,000 native plants that are grown specifically for restoration projects.
Cascade Pacific Resource, Conservation & Development (CPRCD) stepped up to help by generously providing funding to support additional youth labor from Oregon Youth Authority’s Camp Tillamook. The OYA Work Crew has added an extra day to their work schedule each week and filled the gap (Thanks OYA!).
CPCRD has been a long-time supporter of TEP’s nursery and we are extremely thankful for their help ensuring that the nursery continues to thrive. Thanks to partners like Cascade Pacific and OYA, the nursery is full of healthy and robust trees, shrubs, and forbs despite all of the challenges resulting from COVID.
Thank you to Cascade Pacific Resource, Conservation & Development for helping our native plant nursery thrive!
