Kick-off National Estuaries Week with Tillamook Estuaries Partnership and Tillamook County Pioneer Museum as we Discover Kilchis Estuary. This easy, guided walk will get participants exploring the beautiful creeks, forest and wetlands of Kilchis Point Reserve.

This FREE guided walk is part of the Explore Nature series of hikes, walks, paddles and outdoor adventures. Explore Nature partners include volunteer community and non-profit organizations, offering meaningful nature-based experiences highlighting the unique beauty of Tillamook County and the work being done to preserve and conserve the area’s natural resources and natural resource-based economy. The journey will be an approximately 2.5 mile round-trip walk will take us out to the Bay while exploring the rich history and ecology of the site. The first 1/4 mile section of the trail is paved and the rest of the trails are compacted gravel. Most of the trails are level and easy to walk.
We understand everyone learns and experiences the outdoors differently and we are open to working with anyone that needs additional support. We will adjust this walk to meet the needs of participants however, we have limited capacity. Please contact us in advance so that we can do our best to accommodate your needs and/or find a way for you or your group to have fun participating in our events.
