Tillamook Estuaries Partnership

A National Estuary Project

Local Grants

Under our Local Grant Program (LGP) the TEP has awarded over $320,000 to support the implementation of environmental restoration and enhancement projects in Tillamook County. The TEP initiated the LGP to support locally-driven projects that implement the Tillamook Bay Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan, or CCMP. In selecting projects for funding, priority is given to those that undertake on-the-ground environmental enhancement and restoration, monitoring and research, and education. Only projects within the TEP study area are eligible. The Study Area includes Tillamook County's five estuaries and associated watersheds.

TEP is not currently reviewing applications received for the  local grant program with a focus on education and monitoring projects. Since 2002, TEP has awarded over $300,000 to community partners who have coordinated and implemented projects that focus on research and monitoring, habitat enhancement, or environmental education within Tillamook County’s five estuaries and watersheds in their entirety. Eligible applicants include those organizations that implement activities that carry forward the mission of the TEP. Local government, non-profit organizations and individuals are able to apply. Project funding is dependent upon the number of eligible applications received but awards will generally average $3000. Successful applicants will be notified.
