Tracking Storm Water Quality, Tillamook Bay Rivers

This report presents the results of storm-based and bi-monthly monitoring of water quality in the Tillamook, Kilchis, Trask, and Wilson Rivers from 1996 to 2002. The study characterizes fecal coliform bacteria (FCB), total suspended solids (TSS), and nutrient concentrations to assess storm impacts on the Tillamook Bay watershed. Findings show consistently elevated FCB levels in the Tillamook River and higher TSS concentrations in the Trask and Wilson Rivers during high-flow events. The data serve as a baseline for evaluating long-term restoration outcomes and improving best management practices for watershed health.
